SINGAPORE — The Asian Development Bank has revised down its inflation forecast for the region for 2024 and 2025 as price pressures eased due to the lagged effects of monetary tightening.
Inflation in “emerging Asia,” which includes 46 ADB members such as China and India, is now forecast at 2.8% this year, slightly slower than the 2.9% forecast in July, according to the bank's latest Asia Development report. Outlook was released on Wednesday. The forecast for 2025 has been revised downward from 3.0% to 2.9%.
