TOKYO — After the court-ordered ouster of former Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin, the country's ruling coalition quickly reshuffled, shedding some military-backed lawmakers and adding others to increase its share of seats in parliament.
The Pheu Thai Party, the largest force in the coalition, replaced Srettha with its leader Paetongtarn Shinawatra. He is eager to advance the economic and other agendas of his father, former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, the founder of Pheu Thai.
