KUNMING, China — Passenger traffic on China's high-speed train line with Laos surged during China's week-long holiday in early October, as tourists used the cross-border service to travel to the neighboring country.
During the seven-day National Day holiday until October 7, more than 6,400 trips were made across the border in both directions on the China-Laos Railway service. This means an increase of 160% compared to the same period last year.
