GUANGZHOU — DJI is rapidly expanding its agricultural-drone business by catering to young farmers in China's domestic market, increasing its cumulative sales 15-fold to 300,000 units in five years.
Drones flying over fields to spray pesticides are an increasingly common sight in rural China. These vehicles use aerial photos to determine flight paths and can automatically avoid obstacles. The latest models are equipped with two sprayers capable of applying 18 liters of chemical per minute.
