HONG KONG — Liang Qicheng, 29, from Beijing, was walking along the Avenue of Stars on Hong Kong's waterfront and taking a selfie with a friend. He visited the city last week on a four-day visit during China's National Day holidays. But she kept her spending in check: She stayed in bed and breakfasts, not hotels, and didn't plan on making any big purchases.
“Buying goods in Hong Kong is no longer a good deal because the exchange rate has become less favorable,” Liang said.
