China’s SenseTime using ‘a lot’ of Huawei, other domestic AI chips

HONG KONG/TAIPEI — Chinese artificial intelligence giant SenseTime Group is using “a lot” of domestic chips, including those from Huawei Technologies, to train large language models as part of its efforts to rapidly develop its domestic artificial intelligence computing ecosystem. This was reported by Nikkei Asia.

SenseTime's vice president of Asia Pacific operations, Alvin Zou, said the company's next-generation Artificial Intelligence Data Center (AIDC) in Shanghai is equipped with chips from all major domestic manufacturers, including Huawei and Biren Technology.
