Craft sake in Japan serves up fizzy and funky flavors

TOKYO — Craftsmanship and sparkling sake are adding a new dimension to the drink, both for Japanese millennials who don't like the taste of their grandfathers' rice wine and for Japan's growing number of international visitors.

Part of the new wave of sake was showcased at a small craft brewery in Sendai train station in northeastern Japan. The shelves were lined with transparent containers in various stages of fermentation.
