In Indonesia, BYD and Hyundai lure workers from Japan rivals

JAKARTA/BANGKOK — Japanese automakers in Indonesia are scrambling to keep their top employees from jumping ship to Asian rivals entering the market.

The top hunter these days is BYD, the Chinese electric car maker that is building a $1 billion plant in West Java province with the capacity to produce 150,000 cars a year.
