JAKARTA — Indonesian transport and delivery service GoTo Group said on Wednesday it will close its operations in Vietnam on September 16, exiting the country's fiercely competitive market.
GoTo's main unit, Gojek, entered Vietnam in 2018 together with local partner Go-Viet. GoTo's first overseas venture was a rare move by an Indonesian tech company. Indonesian President Joko Widodo participated in the presentation ceremony of Vietnam.
