YOKOHAMA — Isuzu Motors will develop self-driving trucks capable of full automation under certain conditions, with a U.S. automotive software application aiming to put the vehicles on Japanese highways from fiscal 2027.
Isuzu President Shinsuke Minami told the Nikkei that the automaker's partnership with Applied Intuition solidified its plans, set out in April, to begin Level 4 truck and bus operations in fiscal 2027.
