BEIJING — Japan's top foreign official met with his Chinese counterpart Monday to demand a clear explanation for the stabbing death of a 10-year-old Japanese boy in Shenzhen last week, including the suspect's motive.
“Clarifying the motive of the crime is extremely important,” State Foreign Minister Yoshifumi Tsuge said in a meeting with Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong. “If this issue is not resolved, we cannot move forward.”
