TOKYO — The Japanese government plans to swap Rapidus plants and equipment for shares in the semiconductor maker, the Nikkei learned Thursday.
The assets include Rapidus' factories and equipment built under a research and development project contract by the state-linked New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO).
