KYOTO, Japan — Women's underwear maker Wacoal Holdings will buy British peer Bravissimo Group for 45.7 million pounds ($61.3 million), the Japanese company said Thursday, as it looks to grow its overseas business amid weak earnings in the country.
Bravissimo specializes in plus size bras, operates 25 directly managed stores in the UK and considers e-commerce a strength. Wacoal said it would acquire all of Bravissimo's shares through a UK subsidiary.
