Japan’s Ajinomoto and Danone team up to cut dairy cow emissions

TOKYO — Japanese food and biotechnology company Ajinomoto has partnered with France's Danone to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from dairy cattle with a high-yield supplement that helps farmers save costs.

Under the strategic partnership, the amino acid supplement will be mixed into feed for cows on farms where the French company receives raw milk. This is expected to reduce emissions from cow burps and excreta by around 10%.
