Korean companies fear Trump’s impact on clean energy investments

SEOUL/NEW YORK — The prospect of a second term for Donald Trump in the United States is raising concerns among top South Korean leaders who fear his election could threaten investments in the United States and clean energy incentives offered during the Joe Biden administration.

The concerns prompted South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy to hold an internal meeting last Thursday to discuss issues arising from the US election after reaching out to companies, industry bodies and research institutes.
