Malaysia secures $6.5bn from Oracle for cloud infrastructure

KUALA LUMPUR — Oracle on Wednesday announced plans to invest more than $6.5 billion in cloud infrastructure in Malaysia, marking a significant expansion of artificial intelligence and cloud services in the country.

The announcement reinforces Malaysia's rise as a Southeast Asian digital hub driven by growing demand for artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure and data analytics.
