'Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024' Features Revealed in Detail, Will Be Released in November with VR Support

Fast approaching Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 It's coming to PC and Xbox consoles on November 19. While it wasn't clear when Asobo's next-gen flight sim was first teased last summer whether it would include VR support, the studio says it's definitely coming and even showed it in action.

Asobo confirmed in a Q&A session with developers earlier this year that VR support was indeed coming and that it would be “amazing” in the words of Executive Producer Martial Bossard.

While you won’t see any mention of VR support in marketing materials, the studio did demonstrate VR support live at the MFS 2024 Preview event, allowing press and content creators to fly around using the Pimax Crystal Light headset.

The studio also detailed a number of new features coming to the game. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 There are a number of innovations at launch, including worldwide Aviation Careers, a Challenge League system and an all-new World Photographer mode.

Increasing the realism, developer Asobo is introducing a brand new enhancement to the ground details.

“We can now get basically every rock on Earth; it's incredible. We've updated aerial imagery for the entire world and assembled a team of experts who have collected digital elevation maps from all over the planet. The game will also feature worldwide ship traffic, helipads, glider airports, oil rigs, vertical obstacles, and “dozens of animal species from around the world.”
