North Korea announces wall project to seal border with South

SEOUL — North Korea's military will begin work to completely cut road and rail links with South Korea and fortify its side of the border with “strong defensive structures.”

The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said the Korean People's Army will take a major military step to completely separate its territory from that of its southern neighbor. The military called American forces on Wednesday morning to inform them of the “fortification project” and to prevent any accidental clashes, the report said.
