Philippine casino developments surge amid online gambling crackdown

MANILA — Major Philippine companies such as Alliance Global Group (AGI) are planning large-scale integrated resorts with casinos amid a crackdown on online gaming led by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., anticipating increased demand for brick-and-mortar establishments.

AGI, a major conglomerate, plans to invest $700 million to build integrated resorts in Cebu and the resort island of Boracay.
