The past few months have brought little speculation regarding the name of Meta's next title, mainly due to a series of leaks from around Meta. However, a new leak courtesy of serial data miner Luna appears to confirm what we've all always known. Its name is the Quest 3S.

The above image reportedly comes from a Meta support page detailing an 'Action Button' that allows the user to toggle between VR and live action – an action performed with a tap of the headset on the Quest 3.
If the image is real, it would be the most direct confirmation of the Quest 3S name among the strong yet controversial leaks.
Back in March, an image from a now-deleted Reddit post (kept by Luna) showed a visible mockup of a French Meta store landing page, where the 'Quest 3S' was both visible and named.
The source of the image is not yet clear, but an official image of the headset has appeared in files found on the Meta PC client, confirming that the initial leak originated from Meta or a close partner.
Then in May, Meta-owned studio Magnopus briefly listed the 'Quest 3S' among supported devices in its fitness games Carrying Alo XR.
Now we have seen the headset and we know with confidence that actually named What else can be discovered on Quest 3S?
Here's what the rumor mill has to say: The Quest 3S is said to have the same Fresnel lenses and display as the Quest 2, but it runs the same Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chipset as the Quest 3 and comes with color shifting for mixed reality experiences. It's also said to target a $299 price point and will be offered in both a 128GB and 256GB model.
FCC certification has already been received, and now we await the specs’ approval and the big announcement at Connect 2024, which kicks off on September 25-26. It seems almost certain that this event will be the best place to follow all things Quest 3S.
