Quest users can now broadcast their in-game footage to TV, mobile, and even to friends and family on Facebook Messenger. It may soon include WhatsApp support, according to a recent marketing image uncovered by serial leaker and dataminer Luna.
An update earlier this month allowed Quest users to screen share via Facebook Messenger and broadcast your in-game exploits in video calls.
Now, there appears to be support for Meta's other major mobile messaging app, WhatsApp, in addition to Meta's own Horizon Chat for Quest.
It looks like this functionality is also being added to WhatsApp, and you'll be able to broadcast to people on Horizon OS “very soon.” https://t.co/xPybCAnvqm pic.twitter.com/ORy1GEWc2c

Meta quietly released Facebook Messenger broadcast support earlier this month, adding a new feature. sharing Button for messenger calls. In particular, streaming can be done on all DRM-free applications. That means you can share everything you see on the headset, including games, apps, and the Horizon OS user interface.
Since the company's Ray-Ban smart glasses already feature POV video sharing on WhatsApp and Messenger, introducing WhatsApp broadcast feels like a natural next step; This was added in April, in addition to initial support for Instagram and Facebook live streaming.
Considering Meta Connect was the focus of major feature drops last week and wasn't included among the announcements, it's not clear when we should expect Meta to release WhatsApp support on the Quest. In the meantime, we'll keep our eyes on Meta's WhatsApp support page and will update features whenever they drop.
