Revamped Meta App Reintroduces Quest Users to Some of the Best Immersive Art on the Market

Meta revived VR Animation Player (2019) with its new version Theater Elsewhere, New version of free animation player app that lets users experience immersive, hand-painted worlds created in the VR art app Quill by Smoothstep (2021).

Meta says what's renewed is renewed Theater Elsewhere The app includes a new user interface for easier navigation, faster performance and enhanced controls designed to deliver a seamless user experience.

It also includes over 50 VR animated short videos, curated selections, and over 2,400 pieces of user-generated content; you can explore these in more depth in 'Free Flight Mode', allowing you to view the creations from any angle.

Supports all Quest devices, including the original 2019-era Quest Theater Elsewhere Developed internally since July 2023 by a small team consisting of Art Director and legendary artist Goro Fujita.

A veteran of DreamWorks Animation, Fujita is also known for his work on VR animated short films at the now defunct Oculus Story Studios. Henry (2015) and part 1 Wolves in the Walls (2018), and lots of VR animations as well as some of them you can see like this: Theater Elsewhere application currently.
