Ricoh to cut 2,000 jobs globally as office printer demand falls

TOKYO — Ricoh will cut its global workforce by about 2,000 people as it scales back its office machine business and focuses on helping businesses with their digital transition, the Japanese company said Thursday.

The layoffs, which will take place through March, will affect the office equipment division, including sales and maintenance teams.
