Sharp and Foxconn’s EV prototype shows new way of vehicle design

TOKYO — Japanese electronics and home appliance maker Sharp has unveiled a concept electric car designed to offer a future mode of mobility that turns the car into an extension of the home.

Sharp's EV prototype, called the LDK+, uses a platform developed by Sharp's Taiwanese parent Foxconn. It calls for a new approach to car manufacturing that combines the functionality of a regular car and adds value by designing a comfortable, room-like interior.
