Singapore’s Changi Airport embraces biometric immigration screening

SINGAPORE — A new biometric immigration clearance system at Singapore's Changi Airport offers greater convenience to travelers while allowing the government to more closely monitor who is entering the country.

Instead of presenting their passports, Singapore citizens and long-term residents can be screened for entry or exit through a facial scan at automated kiosks.
