SINGAPORE — Singapore's GIC has bought a logistics facility in Japan for about $400 million, Nikkei Asia learns, as the sovereign wealth fund sees growing demand in the e-commerce sector and companies look to strengthen supply chains in Asia's busiest real estate. market.
Located in Yokohama, south of Tokyo, the fully occupied four-story property covers an area of over 126,000 square meters. Developed by Japan's Daiwa House Industry in 2022, the state-of-the-art facility received the country's green certifications and is considered one of its largest assets built to date.
