Sony aids game developers in India, Africa to help drive PS5 sales

TOKYO — Following similar initiatives in China and India, Sony Group has begun providing technical and financial support to video game companies in the Middle East and North Africa, aiming to make the PlayStation 5 console take root in those markets through locally developed software.

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) launched Project Hero in China in 2016 to support local software companies and creators. In addition to lending development funds, it provides tutorials on graphics and PS5 game engines.
