Suzuki Motor to expand dealership network in India to 6,800 outlets

TOKYO/MUMBAI — Suzuki Motor plans to develop markets in India's regional cities to build a network of 6,800 dealers across the country by fiscal 2030, starting this April. Importance of Indian market to global car manufacturers.

Maruti Suzuki, a subsidiary of Suzuki, is India's largest car manufacturer with a domestic market share for passenger cars of around 40%. Over the past few years, it has been increasing its annual dealer services to about 200 through sales agency agreements with local companies. By the end of June, it had a network of about 3,900 points of sale.
