CHIBA, Japan — The Tokyo Game Show kicked off Thursday with a record number of exhibitors and booths, with companies from around the world excited to showcase their games and expand their reach. More than half of this year's exhibitors are from abroad.
Haruhiro Tsujimoto, chairman of the Computer Entertainment Suppliers Association, the organizer of the event, said: “The fact that many companies from abroad are also exhibiting at this event shows the growing interest in the Japanese game industry and its potential to spread to the world.”
