U.S. authority postpones decision on Nippon Steel deal

TOKYO — A U.S. regulator investigating Nippon Steel's takeover bid for US Steel has granted a request for the two companies to redo their plans, Reuters reported on Wednesday. This would require a review process and a government decision on whether to approve the deal is expected to be delayed until after the US presidential election in November.
