Sword and Sorcery: Nomad, Quest's physics-based combat sandbox has essentially been the PC VR game's little brother since its launch in 2021. That's set to change when the game's long-awaited 'Crystal Hunt' campaign is added to Quest next week.
Warpfrog announces Quest users can wait Sword and Sorcery: Wanderer's 'Last Update' on October 28, which the studio calls the game's “last major update”.
Crystal Hunt marks a clear departure from this nomad's It features sandbox-focused arenas, a fully narrative campaign, a progression upgrade system, and tons of connected maps to fight, explore, and loot crystals. Essentially, this reveals that Wandering In terms of content parity, it's 1:1 with the PC VR game.
“There is no doubt that the biggest challenge in the update was performance,” the studio says in a news update. “The new environments coming to the update are quite huge. You will be surprised when you see it. The Quest 2 is the most challenged headset, as expected, but it provides the basis for optimization. The good news is that Quest 3 performs well thanks to this optimization.”
Update is coming Wandering Free; but only if you own the game before October 28th. After that date, Wandering There will be a price increase from its original price of $20 to $30 to reflect the newly added content. In the meantime, you can buy it from the Horizon Store here.
